3.2 Extra Metrics for FileWave Dashboard

What Extra Metrics adds

Extra Metrics is a third-party tool that creates FileWave Dashboard reporting elements. It can save time when building application-version and patch-status panels, but FileWave does not develop or support the tool. This page follows the custom-panel workflow in section 3.1 and shows the automated alternative.

When to use it

Use Extra Metrics when its supplied panels match your reporting needs and you are comfortable maintaining a community package. Patch-status elements are hard-coded. Application-version panels use FileWave Reports that you can adjust for your environment. Follow the filewave-extra-metrics project documentation for current installation, upgrade, and compatibility details.

The video shows Extra Metrics already installed, then adds a FileWave Report for Firefox versions on macOS devices.
