# When Does the FileWave Client Run Inventory Scans?

## Inventory scan schedule

The FileWave Client collects inventory at three standard times:

- when the Client starts;
- when an administrator sends **Verify** to the Client; and
- every 24 hours while the Client is running.

Send **Verify** when you need fresh inventory before the next scheduled scan, then allow time for the Client to check in and upload the result.
