# Use 2FA or MFA with FileWave

## Question

Can FileWave use two-factor authentication (2FA) or multi-factor authentication (MFA) for FileWave Central, FileWave Anywhere, and device enrollment?

## Answer

Yes. FileWave can use the MFA policy from a supported single sign-on provider through [FileWave Identity Provider (IdP) Integration](https://kb.filewave.com/books/identity-provider-idp-integration "FileWave Identity Provider (IdP) Integration"). Enable **Admin** to use SSO and the provider's MFA for FileWave Central and FileWave Anywhere administrator sign-in. Enable **Enrollment** to use that provider for supported device enrollment flows. The screenshot below shows both options selected. The identity provider controls the available authentication factors and the MFA challenge; FileWave does not add a separate FileWave-managed second factor.
