Apple VPP/ADE Volume Content Terms
What are Apple's new terms?
Apple will periodically post an updated version of the Volume Content Terms to Apple Business Manager. Once posted, your organization will not be able to enroll devices or deploy new apps until an Administrator signs in to Apple Business Manager or Apple School Manager and accepts the agreement.
With this update, an Administrator will be able to accept the Volume Content Terms on behalf of the entire organization. Content Managers and Administrators with the July 27, 2023 changes will no longer be prompted to accept the Volume Content Terms in their individual capacities after an Administrator accepts the terms on behalf of the organization.
Additionally, the Volume Content Terms include clarifying language with respect to redeeming unused Volume Content balances. You can preview the updated Volume Content Terms from July 27, 2023, as an example, but changes to VPP and ADE terms come several times per year and can be disruptive if you don't realize they are coming until FileWave can't sync with Apple.
Apple does email about 1 week prior to new T&C's that are being put in place, but many times that email is missed or is in a mailbox of a person who is out or on vacation. Once they are accepted then ADE and VPP will work again.
