This is a notice that as of FileWave v14.9.0 that Device Discovery is deprecated.retired. FileWave deprecated Device Discovery in FileWave 14.9.0 and removed it in FileWave 15.0.

When/Why

ThisDevice toolDiscovery was nevernot effective inenough for production environments, has hardly ever been used,environments and issaw easilylittle replaceduse. byIf anyyou off-the-shelfneed basic network scanning tooloutside likeFileWave, use a dedicated network scanner such as Angry IP Scanner. or another tool approved for your environment.

How

Do not plan new workflows around Device Discovery. For FileWave v14.9.15.0 was released in November 2022 and later, use another network-discovery process and enroll or manage discovered devices through the functionnormal isFileWave removed in v15.0.workflows.
