How Intelligent Downloader Reuses Files During Fileset Upgrades

Intelligent Downloader
Whenreuses matching files that are already on a device when a Fileset / Payload is deployeddeployed. This reduces download size during self-healing and theFileset timeupgrades when content has not changed.
How FileWave decides to downloadreuse hasa come,file
Before downloading Fileset content, the FileWave Client willchecks checkthe device for an existing exact copiescopy of theeach Fileset files before it starts the download.file.
TheA matchfile is metreused only if:when its file name, file size, and CRC all match:
- The file exists with the same name.
- The file size matches.
- The file CRC matches.
TheWhen clientall willthree skipchecks match, the Client skips that file instead of downloading allit filesagain.
Fileset matchoverwrite properties can also keep an existing copies on the disk.
The Client will also skip the download in two other cases:file:
The Fileset files are set to never overwrite when the Fileset property "Don't overwrite existing files upondeployment"deployment keeps a file that already exists.
Note: Symlinks willare always be replaced.
