Fields in Reports (Preview)

What

When weyou build a Smart Group or Report in FileWave Anywhere, the preview area shows live results from the current criteria. The default preview columns are buildingnot smartalways groupsthe andfields reports,you it is very helpfulneed to have a live representation of what our query is returning.  This data preview (the bottom half ofverify the smart group/report definition window) gives us this data live as we edit the query.  Frequently though, we want different fields in this preview than what are given to us by default.result.

When/Why

Let'sAdd assumethe forfields you care about to the preview before you trust the criteria. For example, if a momentReport thatshould wefind wantdevices a smart group or report that contains information on FileWave clients that have not been upgraded to version 14.  Now, we can edit our conditions to say "FileWave Client Version" ≠ 14.0, and we can just trust that this works and we have the proper results.  Yeah, we wouldn't trust that either!  Much better to actually put theby FileWave Client version, show the FileWave Client Version field intoin ourthe preview so that weyou can "eyeball"confirm the datareturned todevices makematch surethe itcondition. This is right.faster and safer than assuming the filter is correct.
