Embed WiFi in EMM Enrollment QR

If you have aan Android EMM Google Policy Fileset with Networknetwork information in it. You cansettings, select it whenwhile yougenerating generatean aenrollment QR code. ThisFileWave insertsembeds that WiFi profile in the informationQR ontoenrollment payload so the device forcan easyjoin the network during enrollment.

Steps

1. GenerateCreate or verify a Google Policy forFileset Networkwith WiFi network settings (Android EMM Policies and Permissions).
2. Generate a new Enrollmentenrollment QR code:
   1. Open Assistant menu →> Enroll Android Devices....
   2. HitClick the [+] in the bottom leftleft.
   3. ChooseSelect athe needed WiFi PolicyProfile from the dropdrop-down downmenu.
3. Enroll athe device as normal (Quickstart Guide for Android EMM) .

Most devices running Android 8+ comedevices withinclude a built-in QR reader app.during setup. Older devices will oftenmay need to connect to WiFi after the sevenseven-tap tapssetup toflow thenbefore they can download a QR reader app.

The generated QR code that is generated contains the WiFi password in plain text.

DO NOT leaveTreat the QR code justlike sittinga around.credential. Do not leave it displayed, printed, or shared beyond the enrollment window.
