Create Deployment

What

The creation ofCreate a new deployment connectswhen you need FileWave Anywhere to connect one or more payloads with onedevices or more devices/groups. YouDeployments can also use deployments to createinclude exclusions onfor devices or groups.groups that should not receive the payload.

When/Why

DeploymentsFor may be quite straightforward.  It may be asa simple asdeployment, "I need to deploy Adobe Photoshop to each device which owns a license".  But, it may be more complex, such as "I need to deploy Adobe Photoshop to all devices in our Production group, but not to any manager's device."  In the first instance, our deployment will probably picktarget a manual group or individual machinesdevices, such as theevery endpoints.device that Inowns thean secondAdobe instance,Photoshop welicense. mightFor a scoped rollout, target a broader group forsuch "Production",as butProduction, then add an exclusion for and devices in the Managers smartSmart group. Group. Deployments can evenalso target LDAP OUs as well.OUs.

How

To create a new deployment, select the plus ( ) in the top right.

Then giveGive the deployment a clear name in the top left. Good itnames ismake importantdeployments easier to name the deployments appropriately so that you can filter forand themaudit later.
