Configuring Inventory preferences
WithThe versionInventory 6tab in FileWave Central preferences controls inventory polling for Apple MDM-enrolled devices, Smart Group refresh timing, and higher,LDAP FileWaveCustom integratedField Inventorycleanup intobehavior. iOS Inventory
These settings only apply to theiOS, iOS/iPadOS/iPadOS, and tvOS devices enrolled devices.through MDM. These devices show upappear in the normal Clients section of FileWave Adminview as well as in the iOS Inventory section.
- Device Inventory Poll Interval –
Default is 24hrs. This setting isControls how oftenall iOSenrolled deviceswillreporttheir profiles,profile, application,securitysecurity, anddevicedevice-settingsettingsinventory.unlessThe default shown here is 24 hours. Sending a Verify commandiscansent.prompt a device to report sooner. - Device Not Checked-In Notification –
WhenControlsanwheniOSa deviceexceedsisthevisuallytimeframeflaggedset, the device color changes to alert the administrator that that device hasfor notcheckedchecking in with the MDM server. When a device exceeds this value, FileWave changes the device color to alert the administrator.
Smart Groups
The button Refresh all Smart Groups Now forces aFileWave to refresh of all the data requested by existing Smart Groups. Smart Groups normally update every 10 minutes, but thisthat interval can be adjusted herehere.
Do not make thisthe Smart Group refresh interval much more frequent or you may make your server overly busy. If you havewithout a reason. In very large environmentenvironments, youincreasing the interval, such as to 20 minutes, may wantreduce tounnecessary increaseserver this value to perhaps 20 minutes.

LDAP Custom Fields
If checked this option willis clearenabled, FileWave clears the value of aan LDAP Custom Field ifwhen there is no longer a match between the client and the LDAP user or computer.
