ThisWhen willthis ensureis thatdisabled at the license level, FileWave clientClients can nevercannot collect thisthose data,inventory asfields because the option tois dono solonger will not be presentavailable in the Client Preferences.

Changing Data Collection

By default, FileWave collectscan collect personally identifiable datainventory and stores that in inventory.data. 
TheFileWave can disable collection of this data can be disabled globally viathrough your FileWave license. To makerequest thisthat change, and if you are a customer locatedcustomers in North America,America pleaseshould email the FileWave Business Office,Office at usadmin@filewave.com  or call 1-888-345-3928, Option 3. If you are locatedCustomers in Europe,Europe pleaseshould email admin@filewave.com  or call  +41 (0) 71-914-30-80.

When data collection is disabled, the following data is not captured, processed, sent to, or stored inside FileWave inventory:

  • geolocation data (the device's last determinedreported location in latitude, latitude/longitude format)

  • application usage data (how longlong, /how oftenoften, /and when has an application has been openedopened, /used, used /or closed)

  • login data (who logged ontoin to a client machinedevice and when)

When disablingAfter personal data collection,collection is disabled, FileWave preserves the last submitted geolocation data set is preserved.set. To remove it,that pleasesaved location data, contact FileWave support.Support. All other data types (loginLogin data and application usage data)data are erased from the database as soon as theafter clients become aware ofreceive the new configuration and check in with the inventory server.
