Legacy Web Clip App Portal for Older iOS and iPadOS Devices

What this workaround provides

IfAn youolder haveiOS anor iOS/iPadOS device that iscannot install the current FileWave Kiosk app can open the legacy web App Portal through a Web Clip.

When to use it

Use this only as a temporary access path while an older thandevice whatremains isin officiallyservice. The Web Clip does not make an unsupported operating system or device supported by FileWaveFileWave.

and you are working ok but you can't get

Create the KioskWeb (App Portal) to install.

When/WhyClip

You can revert for now to the old WebClip using the documented process here. This is a temporary workaround.

How

1. Create a new Apple Profileprofile →with a Web Clip Profile (can be donepayload in both FileWave Central andor Anywhere)FileWave Anywhere.
   
   

   

   
   

2. Fill in URL field with:Enter https://fqdn:20443/ios/recommended_apps/%device_id%#apps in the URL field, replacing "fqdn"fqdn with yourthe server'FileWave Server's DNS name. Keep the %device_id% placeholder unchanged.

3. Deploy profile to desired device(s).
