Legacy macOS zsh Background Item Notification
What the notification means
After a Mac first upgrades to FileWave Client 15.3.0 or later, macOS may display "zsh is now running in the background". This is a legacy notification associated with FileWave using the system zsh shell for client scripting.
What to do
No remediation is normally required. Confirm that the notification appears after the FileWave Client upgrade and that zsh is being launched by the installed FileWave Client. The notification was expected to appear once on each Mac during the transition to 15.3.x.
If the notification repeats
Record the FileWave Client and macOS versions, capture the notification, and check whether another management tool or script is also launching zsh. Contact FileWave Technical Support if the source is unclear.
