Editing Fileset Revisions

What

Use Edit in Manage Revisions to change a Fileset revision's Name and Comment (description). This changes the revision's labels, not its packaged files or scripts. To change those contents, see Editing Filesets that have Revisions.

When/Why

Use the Manage Revisions window when you need to rename a revision or add a clearer description. For example, the first revision is named Initial Revision by default. Give it a name that identifies the packaged version and use the Comment field to explain its purpose. For example, the screenshot uses v81 as the name and Mozilla Firefox as the comment. Clear labels help you select the intended revision when assigning content.

How

Open Manage Revisions for the Fileset, select the revision, then choose Edit:

Enter the Name and Comment, click OK in the edit dialog, then click Save in the revision management window. Reopen Manage Revisions and confirm the intended revision shows the saved values. Changing which revision is the default is a separate action; see "Default" Revisions below.
