Font Licenses

What

Use font licenses when you need FileWave to track commercially licensed fonts installed across managed computers, such as fonts used by design, graphics, or marketing teams.

How it works

In FileWave Central, open License Management and choose New License. Give the record a clear name, select Font, and build the expression using the font inventory values you want to count. Confirm that your selected platforms and management methods report those values. Follow Manual Licenses to enter the licenses you own and set a warning threshold.

Font licenses use the same License Management status indicators as application licenses. A green jelly means the license is in compliance, yellow means the watermark threshold has been crossed, and red means the license is out of compliance.

Before relying on the result, double-click the license entry and compare its matching devices with current font inventory and your purchase records. A green status reflects the criteria and counts configured in FileWave; it does not independently prove that the font license permits your organization's use or that every installation has been inventoried.
